WHAT IS HMBA?

The Heart of Missouri Baptist Association exists to advance the Kingdom of Christ through church partnership.. We seek to assist, resource, and strengthen local churches in Audrain, Boone, Callaway, Cooper, and Ralls counties as well as one church in Monroe county. We have a great geographical area that is rich in history of churches proudly serving their communities and sharing the gospel. Our oldest church was established in 1826 and our newest was just planted last year.

One of the greatest parts of our association is the diverseness of metro, suburban, town and country, and rural churches. Though we are different in sizes, locations, and structures, we all serve the same purpose: to glorify God in a local setting.

OUR STAFF

HMBA has a Director of Missions and an Administrator that strive to serve through the day to day operations. We also have a Leadership Team that makes the decisions that guide the association forward between Executive Board and annual Full Association meetings.

PRESTON THOMPSON

DIRECTOR OF MISSIONS

"My name is Preston Thompson, and I proudly serve as the Director of Missions for our nearly 60 churches. I truly believe I was called to this position and have served as the DOM since January of 2016. I have been in ministry vocationally since 2005 with the last 12+ years spent in the central Missouri area.

I am truly blessed to be the husband to my college sweetheart, Kami, since 2005, and the father to Noah, Levi, Charli, and Asher. We reside just outside of Fulton, MO on a small piece of property that we think is awesome. We are members of Richland Baptist in Kingdom City, MO."

If you would like to schedule a time to meet with the Director of Missions at the office, or if you are a church that would like to schedule him to preach or give a presentation about Heart of Missouri Baptist Association, please click the link DOM Appointments to access his availability.
